As many of you know, I started this Year of Spools BOM unexpectedly in February 2023. I originally was only going to release the adorable Sew Loving heart block, but many of you reached out and asked if I could make this a monthly BOM. I’m so happy I did, because this has been so much fun. Because we started the BOM in February, I didn’t have a January block release and it just felt weird ever since. I was originally going to release the January block in December, but after confusing many of you, and receiving many emails looking for the January Block, I knew I had to do something. I’m not sure I could type out another email explaining where the January block is and when it will be released. Y'all WANT this January block! With that said, I have a little surprise! I decided I would go ahead and release the January block. This will also help you not be overloaded in the holiday season while trying to get your holiday gifts finished.

I’m so excited to FINALLY introduce the January Block, Sew Frosty. Guys, this block is giving me all the winter vibes and has me personally excited for the cooler temps. We are in the high 90s right now! How cute is this adorable spool snowman with his little top hat and scarf. Oh, and don’t get me started on his mittens. How cute! This really brings me back to my childhood. I enjoyed playing in the snow until my little hands were red and about to fall off. I feel so lucky to have lived in a place that got the occasional yearly snowfall. When you don’t get a good snowfall except once a year, you have to soak up all the memories you can. Making snowmen and snow angels, and having snowball fights were my favorite. Ok, and I’ll admit, eating a homemade SNOW-cone may have happened a time or two. Don’t worry, I stayed away from the yellow snow. I’m still alive! Whatever your favorite snow activity is, I hope the Sew Frosty block gets you excited for winter and all the wonderful memories it brings.
